Honest Review: Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Ranibir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma , Aishwarya Rai & Lisa Haydon released today in India and worldwide.

Story: This has to be Karan Johar’s weakest script till date. The Story Starts with Ranbir Kapoor sitting and narrating about his journey (past) after he becomes famous to a lady. When the lady questions him about his love he stops and then the movie goes into full flashback mode. Ranbir talks about how he meets a girl called Alyssa Khan played by Anushka Sharma in a bar and then he falls into love with her.Now the problem here is this is just one sided love as Anushka does not like Ranbir from the first moment and reasons given are simply weird. As a Hindi movie fan i have watched many movies and let me tell you this movie is a mix and mashup of several stories and ends up as one of the most boring movies of all time. Anushka had a previous love affair as well with a DJ who is played by Fawad Khan. She meets him again in Paris and then they fall in love again. Well but then she dumps him again (reason again is missing) .

Ranbir finds solace in Aishwarya Rai who he happens to meet by chance on Plane trip (Baap of co-incidence is that she is also single ) and she also falls for Ranbir but ends up leaving her without any reason. Srk has a cameo and again seen giving gyaan. The songs are nice but come for no reason and here is where Ae Dil Hai Mushkil becomes unbearable.

The movie ends with Anushka Sharma having Cancer (How , when & why?) again no explanation and Ranbir goes to look after her again.

The Film is shot in London, Paris and Lucknow.

Anushka Sharma in Ae Dil hai Mushkil is the best and the weakest part. She plays the emotional scenes pretty well but the logic given behind those scenes are weird and makes no sense at all. Aishwarya Rai enacts her part well but logic is missing from the whole movie. I mean the director Karan Johar should have really worked hard on the script. What is he trying to convey?

Final Verdict : As a Common Man who is a movie buff Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Has Been a total disappointment out and out. I am not a critic or a famous reviewer but i will give 2/10 or 1 star to this movie. Don’t waste your time and money on this one.

Box Office Update: Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in on course to collect 15 crore on day 1 from India and Shivaay is struggling to reach 10 crore figure in India itself.
