Prashant Bhushan Again Demeans Indian Armed Forces
Prashant Bhushan the erstwhile member of Aam Aadmi Party who along with Yogendra yadav has formed Swarajya Abhyan Party has again demeaned the armed forces of India and its officers by alleging that Rafale deal is full of corruption. He went out to even say that Rafale will be bofors for Bharatiya Janta Party. In a time when Indian Armed forces specially Air force are in need of New Fighters such comments can further jeopardise the deal to buy more Rafale fighters from France (36 is already ordered).
Bhushan said the government should have blacklisted Thales. “But it gave the contract of Rafale jets worth Rs 58,000 crore to Dassault, which controls Thales. The press release by Thales describes this company as a member of the Rafale team. The chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Thales, Patrice Caine, was present with the CEO of Dassault for the signing ceremony of Rafale deal in the presence of Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar,” Bhushan said.
