A National Security Committee meeting chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was held in Islamabad. During the conference matters pertaining to national security and foreign policy were discussed in detail. Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman and Director General ISI Lt. Gen. Naveed Mukhtar attended the above meeting.
The meeting was also attended by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, and Adviser to PM on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and National Security Advisor Lt. Gen N K Janjua, Retd.
The meeting reiterated that Pakistan has acted as a frontline state in global counterterrorism efforts with unparalleled sacrifices and successes. (All the Pakistan supported groups operating in Kashmir are genuine freedom fighters, wrongly labelled by India as terrorists). The participants also reiterated that regional peace and progress was directly linked to resolution of all outstanding issues including the core issue of Jammu and Kashmir. This is but natural because now India has hardened its resolve to not only eliminate terrorism completely from its soil but also chase away all those occupying its territory of Gilgit, Baltistan and Poonch District. So naturally there will be no peace in the region until the issue of Kashmir is resolved and Pakistan made to vacate all the occupied areas.
The meeting also reiterated that Pakistan continues to work for peace and progress in Afghanistan through an Afghan-led and Afghan- owned peace process with the help of both regional and global partners, and will continue to strive for return of normalcy in Afghanistan at the earliest. This, however, requires simultaneous efforts by the Afghan government for restoring effective control on its territory but sadly Afghan Govt does not share these views of Pakistan. It us chartering its own independent course for which it has invited India.
The final award has been won by the last statement issued by the Epicentre of World Terrorism “No other country in the world has done as much for global safety and security as Pakistan at a huge cost of both men and material”.
Well done Pakistan. Keep the Pretentions.
