Raees Movie Review, Raees movie is based on a Gujrati Don involved in the Bootlegging business in the 80s. Its a story about a Man(Don) who builds an entire empire from the scratch. Its the story about his rise and his relationships, which helps him to become the most powerful man in the Gujrat state.
Shahrukh Khan as Raees is more of a robin-hood kind of story prety much like Once upon a time’s Ajay Devgun role. Shahrukh Khan as Raees Don gains popularity among his people through his ruthlessness business mind and trust. He has heart of gold, shown in the movie, which makes him a cult figure.
Shahrukh khan as Raees has distinct blend of personality. He has been shown in the movie as a combination of good, bad and ugly. People love him and fear him at the same time.
During his prime, Raees loses his cool and challenged by Nawazuddin (Mazumdar), who is a no nonsense cop. Mazumdar exposes Raees among public through his illegal businesses, which is the film is all about. It is a thief and cop game, 80s style. The Pakistani actress, Mahira Khan, who played the love affair of Shahrukh Khan as Raees has a very small role.
Raees Movie Review-Technical Aspects
Overall the film has been shot in India and director Rahul Dholakia has given it a very sleek look. Music is very average compared to the previous Shahrukh Khan’s films, only Laila O Laila song pictured on Sunny Leone is a chart buster.
Raees Movie Review-Overall Verdict
Raees is a pretty average film, if you have nothing to do on holidays you can give it a try. Shahrukh as Raees Don is the main backbone of the movie. But even SRK fans won’t find it as entertaining as his previous movies.
